Understanding the Food Traceability Rule (FSMA Section 204) – Live Instructor-Led CourseThis “live” FDA Traceability Rule class is taught by a qualified FSPCA instructor with deep expertise in regulatory compliance, traceability systems, and food safety management. Training topics include: navigating the FDA’s Food Traceability List (FTL), understanding critical tracking events (CTEs), and implementing key data elements (KDEs) to meet recordkeeping requirements under FSMA Section 204(d).
Attendees are encouraged to review the FDA’s Traceability Rule Resource Hub in advance to familiarize themselves with foundational terminology and requirements.

Course Description
Participants in this FDA Traceability Rule course will gain practical knowledge to help their facility comply with the FSMA Final Rule on Requirements for Additional Traceability Records for Certain Foods. This rule is part of FDA’s broader Food Safety initiative, aimed at enhancing traceability throughout the supply chain.
The rule applies to companies that manufacture, process, pack, or hold foods on the FDA’s Food Traceability List (FTL), which includes items like leafy greens, tomatoes, soft cheeses, shell eggs, nut butters, and more.
